Georgia is historically known for its intensive agriculture. Even though it was initially the main supplier of cotton, the state has recently become more popular for its peanuts and pecans and has led the nation to produce broiler chickens and eggs. One of the biggest employers is Emory University. Affiliated hospital at the school is among the best in the nation for cancer and heart disease treatment. The Georgia Institute of Technology is considered a business incubator. Other top industries in the state are military, medical, and aeronautical fields.
