However, Rebel Wilson instead wore a different version of it with sleeves. People called this “sizeist” and sent the plus-sized actress supportive messages. The costume designer took to Twitter to respond to these allegations. In March 2017, Salvador Perez defended himself by saying, “I let each actor decide how their costume fit, it was their choice. Rebel, Ester and Hana Mae wanted sleeves.” He went on, “To me, it is about dressing women however they look and feel great, whatever size they are.”
