The Couple And Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arnold Schwarzenegger was declared the Mr. Universe competition hosted by the National Amateur Body Builders’ Association in 1967. This was how he launched his career as a bodybuilder. The year after this, he graced the cover of a Weider magazine. Joe and Schwarzenegger met in person at the IFBB Mr. Universe pageant. Even though he did not win, Weider knew that he had potential. This was the reason he offered Schwarzenegger a California apartment and spending money to let the bodybuilder train without any worries. Weider served as a mentor to him. Overall, Schwarzenegger was featured in 68 covers of the magazine on top of appearing in ads for equipment and supplements.
