Megan Glaros
Megan Glaros is the local meteorologist and the CBS affiliate’s entertainment anchor, WBBM-TV channel 2 in Chicago. She is also a relatively non-local girl who did grow up in Dyer, Indiana. At Texas Christian University, and then Indiana University, Megan Glaros studied atmospheric sciences and journalism. During a few months in 2002, Megan Glaros was a cheerleader for the Indianapolis Colts, before taking up her first television job. While in high school and college, she also modeled professionally. Megan began her career in West Virginia, in Parkersburg. She moved quickly to Baltimore, Maryland, where she worked for Sinclair Broadcast Group, forecasting a night for up to five different cities. In September 2004, Glaros moved to South Florida and became SportsJam Live’s Local 10-morning news meteorologist and host. She dealt with the extreme hurricane seasons of the last couple of years, forecasting Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Wilma, and several more. In May 2008, she joined WCBS-TV as weekend morning meteorologist and as a weekend entertainment reporter. The network has also called on her to cover weather coverage and reporting for CBS This Morning and the CBS Evening News.
Bri Winkler
Bri Winkler is mainly known for being an ABC7 Eyewitness News weather girl. The LA weather forecaster not only likes to track storms but also takes pleasure in advising and educating the community about various weather conditions. She was born on October 25, 1988, and from Massachusetts. Bri Winkler studied Marine and Atmospheric Science with a minor in Mathematics and Communications at the University of Miami. Bri Winkler made her debut on broadcast right after graduation. She secured her first employment with KAMR-TV, an NBC affiliate television station located in Amarillo, Texas. She worked as the morning meteorologist for the network and a co-host for one of their famous shows. A part of Winkler’s duties as a weather forecaster with the station was tracking storms. She also reviewed consumer products on the network’s Does It Work show, in addition to informing and educating the community about weather conditions. In 2012 at the age of 24, Bri Winkler was unexpectedly hit with a stroke. The illness began with a severe headache that prompted the broadcaster to do a CAT scan. Within a few days, Bri recovers completely from the disease. While doctors are still unsure about the exact cause of Bri’s stroke, an MRI scan showed she had no permanent damage to her brain. Bri revealed in July 2017 that she is quitting television to go back to school. The broadcaster announced in a statement on her Instagram account that she was pursuing a Master’s degree in Environmental Science.
