Nancy McKeon – Then
Nancy McKeon was worked in various advertisements with her brother Philip before obtaining her breakout role. In the 1970’s she also began taking smaller parts in television shows, before relocating with her relatives to Los Angeles in 1975. Tomboy Jo Polniaczek was offered to McKeon, a role in The Facts of Life after she impressed a casting director with her capacity to shed tears at a Hallmark greeting cards commercial. On the Facts of Life, the character of McKeon, Jo, was ill-tempered, unpleasant, and yet somehow lovely.
Nancy McKeon – Now
Nancy McKeon was almost cast for a role in the TV adaptation of Working Girls after her time as Jo Polniaczek. The job finally went to the then unfamiliar Sandra Bullock. McKeon auditioned for the role of Monica Geller’s in Friends, but she did miss another chance to Courteney Cox this time in 1994. One year later in her own series, Can’t Hurry Love, McKeon, lasted only one season. The final role she played was in 2011 Love Begins television film.
