Phylicia Rashad initially performed in Broadway theaters at the end of the 1970s with several credits including The Wiz, August, Osage County, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Gem of the Ocean, and Raisin in the Sun. Her TV journey began when she entered One Life Live cast in 1983.
