Shelley Long – Then

Shelley Long started to perform with a comedy troupe called The Second City. In 1975, she went on to write, created, and co-hosted a locally made program titled Sorting it Out, in which she received multiple Regional Emmys. She also appeared in several commercials in the 1970s. Her breakout role took place in The Cracker Factory in 1979. This has created various incredible opportunities, such as her greatest iconic character as Diane Chambers.

Long left Cheers upon completing five seasons and said that she started to feel the show was just too monotonous. In the early nineties, Long played numerous roles and in 1993 decided to return to Cheers for the season finale. In a series of recent television series, she has already directed and produced Different Flowers.
