It took the team a moment to notice that this was not just a regular puppy but a very young one! By then, they still had no idea how the little ones ended up in the sewer. However, they did not have a lot of time to think about it. They still had more puppies to save!

As the group worked, one of them suggested that the owner decided to abandon the puppies in the sewer. The truth is that it is not at all uncommon for folks to leave their puppies in dumpsters or by the road. Knowing this, it did not sound impossible that someone left the litter in the storm drain.
