One of the precautions that the firemen took would be to put on gloves. This way, they could avoid leaving their scent on the fur of the animals. Once they extracted the babies from the sewer, they left them on a sheet that they prepared beside the hole.

One of the firemen had been cautious as he put his hand inside the sewer and took out the first pup. Everyone was surprised to see just how small the animal was. After leaving him on the sheet, the small animal moved around freely.
