Sometimes, all you need a slice of chocolate cake. People used to turn to the All-American Chocolate Cake at Costco for this. It was a decadent treat with four delicious layers. The company did not offer an explanation when it pulled out the item in 2020. Fans have launched petitions to bring it back.

Fair enough, free samples are not really “products” in the sense that they are not sold. However, they used to be essential to the Costco experience! This is yet another casualty of the pandemic. We sure hope that we have not yet seen the last of them. After all, who doesn’t love free food?
