Vera Lynn, 102-year-old, would always be in the memories of World War II soldiers. With her beautiful face and alluring voice, she warmed their hearts. She was awarded the British War Medal and became the official Dame of the United Kingdom. Vera started to sing when she was seven years old and left school for a tour at the age of 11. Vera has disappeared from the spotlight and has now devoted her energies to helping women combat cancer and children with disabilities.

Sidney Poitier, 92, was an actor, director, and diplomat who paved the way for the Bahamas-American stars. Sidney was globally successful and performed in several theaters and was an award-winning actor on-screen. He was the very first African American celebrity to win a prestigious award. He has been awarded the British Knighthood. He was also awarded the Presidential Medal of Independence. He had always been up against bigotry and led a variety of charitable works.
