Even before the scandal around Jared Fogle came to light, Subway was already going downhill. Sadly, it still shelled out $15 million to get him for a commercial. It turned out that he shed 245 pounds by eating Subway sandwiches. When the scandal broke out, the company only declined some more. Its attempt to improve sales backfired on it. As you can see, the company made better decisions than to hire Jared Fogle. You see, he is actually a convicted sex offender. After admitting to sex crimes against minors, the actor received a jail sentence of 15 years. While he was behind bars, another inmate beat him up because he “can’t be around child molesters.” In all honestly, we do not feel all that bad for him.

T-Mobile hired the actress to endorse the telecommunications agency but could not believe just how big of a hit the commercial was. Catherine Zeta-Jones got a fat $20 million paycheck for her work. Even though the company ended up replacing her, it still adores the actress and offered her to come back as a spokesmodel. If you thought that Angelina Jolie got lucky with her $10 million paycheck, this one is even more incredible because it was double that amount! We do not know a lot of companies that can afford to pay someone this much money for an endorsement, although T-Mobile said that the sales went up significantly after it. This is a true success story not only for the company but also for the actress.
