Born in Tennessee, Ben Curtis started his career by appearing in a number of popular Dell commercials. It is interesting to hear that he used to be a talented magician before he started to act and work for Dell. When he bagged the role in the commercial, he was actually three years above the desired age. Despite this, he was still able to leave a lasting impression on the casting agents and earned the role. Now, he is best known for muttering, “Dude, you’re getting a Dell.” It was a very successful campaign that was not just a huge deal for him but also for Dell. In 2003, Curtis left the company after an arrest for buying marijuana. Sadly, he got blacklisted by the entertainment industry and just landed minor roles after that.
