The Big Lebowski (1998)
The coolest slack in the world is probably “The Dude” in this movie. Jeff Bridges showed off his comedic timing as the main character, who gets roped into a kidnapping ring. We love the Coen brothers for their creativity and edginess. Let us not forget how great they are at making iconic characters. This must be one of the best comedic roles in all of film history! Bridges was a true star in nearly every single scene.
Slap Shot (1977)
Is there a greater hockey film in history? We doubt it. We are not kidding when we say that Slap Shot is the best one, no matter the genre. Paul Newman has appeared in many iconic movies, so there was no doubt that he was going to do an amazing job as Reggie Dunlop. This film also introduced the Hanson brothers, who must be the best fictional hockey line to ever grace the big screen. The foul-mouthed characters ensure that this is not going to be appropriate for young viewers. Did you know that the screenplay was actually written by Nancy Dowd, who had a brother in minor league hockey?
