Muscle Beach gave Betty Brosmer a Lifetime Achievement Award on September 3, 2012. Joe Wheatley, the emcee, said that she was one of three people who have received this prestigious award! This means that she has joined the ranks of Jack LaLanne and Joe Weider. Aside from that, she was also inducted in the Hall of Fame of the organization. The Los Angeles City Council also gave her a special proclamation for all her contributions to the field of women’s health and fitness. During the ceremony, she talked about memories with her loved ones and the start of “Shape Magazine.” There is no doubt that she deserved all of those accolades!

The Death Of Larry Scott

In 2014, she paid tribute to Larry Scott when the legendary bodybuilder died on March 8. Betty Brosmer shared, “He was an inspiration for the creation of the ‘Joe Weider Olympia.’” She also said that he was given the “Golden Boy” nickname and lived up to the name. She said that she was proud of what he did to encourage Americans to lead a “clean, fit and productive life.” Not only that, but she also said that her friend was “not only a Champion in Bodybuilding but a Champion as a friend, father, and husband.” She ended the tribute by sending her love to his wife and family.
