The Honeymoon
Isn’t it wonderful to enjoy your honeymoon with your parents? It seems obnoxious from the outside. Amish cultures, on the other side, are rich in history, and this is one of them. The honeymoon will take place at the bride’s parents’ home. As a token of their gratitude, the bride and groom will clean the parents’ house the next morning.
The Honeymoon Continues
Amish honeymoons are made up of several items that are scattered throughout the country. The pair will gather their things and head to the next house, where they will greet all of their family as husband and wife after spending the first night at the bride’s parents’ home. If the newlywed pair does not yet own a house, they will remain with the bride’s parents until they can buy one.
