Both Billie, a student pilot, and Peggy, a mechanic, had little money and had not even contemplated the prospect of saving for the future. Peggy had given Billie the ring she had worn in high school on the day of their wedding since she couldn’t afford to buy him a traditional wedding band. Billie didn’t mind; all that mattered to him was being with Peggy; he thought that everything else will fall into place on its own. Despite the fact that it was a difficult time, full of anxiety and uncertainty, the couple had complete faith in the fact that they were in love.

They didn’t have any money, so they had to design a plan to figure out how they might start a family together despite their circumstances. They decided that Billie would handle the family’s financial duties, while Peggy would stay at home to care for the infant and any subsequent children.
