Daniel woke up to a coughing fit one night. He was panting, and his chest felt cramped. He checked the nearby clock, which said 4:03 AM. His wife was fast asleep right next to him, covered in their duvet. He got out of bed, then headed to the kitchen for a glass of water, when he noticed Muffins. What the cat was doing that time made Daniel’s body freeze up.
