We have a pretty heartbreaking entry to the list with The Mist. The movie ends when David decides to spare the group by killing all of them. He does this in the hopes that this route will give them a more merciful death. However, the Army arrives to save everyone only minutes after he does that!

There is a very good reason for the hype around Gone Girl. Amazing Amy showed us that she is even more amazing than what we all had in mind. The tone of the film changes at around halfway through. This is the moment that we find out that she schemed her own “murder” to frame Nick!
