The couple initially came from different areas of the world. Rachel grew up in Mississippi Delta, while Aaron was born and raised in Honduras, where his parents were evangelical missionaries. Rachel wasn’t open to the world of racial diversity, but Aaron was familiar with the feeling of being the only blonde-haired, blue-eyed kid in his hometown. As Rachel grew up and started to go on mission trips, she later decided that she wanted more experience and responsibility.
