Michael J. Fox is a Canadian actor who became immensely famous after starring in the successful 80’s sitcom Family Ties, where he won many awards for his role. Then, things escalated relatively quickly when he played Marty McFly in the beloved film trilogy Back to the Future. At 29, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and by 2000, he semi-retired from acting as his symptoms became worse. During his career, Fox has won five Primetime Emmy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Grammy Award.
