Through 1982 she got to play Lieutenant JG Saavic in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan before Kirstie Alley decided to take up her highest-profile role as Rebecca Howe in the NBC sitcom Cheers. Alley began at Cheers in 1987 and decided to continue until after the season finale in 1993. Alley managed to win both a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe for its acting as Rebecca Howe. Alley also continued to play several parts in movies in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Kirstie Alley decided to return to NBC to be the star on a sitcom named Veronica’s Closet after filming in the 1990s including Sibling Rivalry, It Takes Two, Deconstruction Harry and Drop-Dead Gorgeous. Mostly in the 2000s, Alley showed her life in a number of tv programs. All throughout the years between  2004 to 2007, Alley has been Jenny Craig’s spokeswoman and she widely publicized her dramatic weight variations. Her greatest latest movie involvement was Back by Midnight in 2002 and Accidental Love in 2015.
