Another Quadruplets
Jones’s four children are, in fact, quadruplets. Gabe and Seth are identical twins, while Hugh and Katie are fraternal twins, and they were both born at the same time. The Jones Quad Squad is made up of them all. They also provided four sets of collective DNA that could be used to estimate the validity of two websites: Ancestry DNA and 23andMe.

Making Sure It’s Correct
Jones did work with San Francisco news outlet KPIX 5 to ensure that the process was as blind as possible, paying much attention to the fine points. Indeed, they sent off the children’s DNA samples, which were labeled with various names and cultures. They even went to the trouble of mailing them from different cities to cover the fact that the tests were from relatives.
