Connecticut – 29.1% Obesity Rate

As we now know, obesity in the United States is a significant health concern. Almost one in three adults is impacted. 21.6 percent of all adults in the state reported that they had not participated in any physical activity in at least a month. That’s while 28.5 percent of adults have recently reported eating vegetables three or more times a day. All the same, Connecticut is another state that needs to take measures to improve the public’s health.

Over 30 percent of the people in Guam are obese. Over time the number of overweight adults in Guam has been growing steadily, posing an increasing threat to the population. Around 60% of Guam’s deaths are caused by chronic illnesses associated with poor lifestyle and diet patterns. This means that most Guam deaths are due to obesity and weight problems, making it a deadly epidemic.
