In 2016, a lot of retailers started to pull out cigarettes from their shelves. Costco is one such company. A spokesperson for the company explained, “Tobacco is a very low margin business, tends to have higher theft and is labor-intensive in some cases (due to local municipality regulations)—further, we felt we could better use the space to merchandise other items.”

Chocolate Frozen Yogurt
You must have at least heard of the acai frozen yogurt from Costco. The healthy and tasty flavor has become a hit ever since it was introduced in 2018. Sadly, it was responsible for the disappearance of the traditional chocolate flavor. We are just glad that the company continues to sell the regular vanilla one.
