While Teletubbies was an international success for a kid’s show, the locals of England were displeased. The people of Warwickshire protested against the filming. In fact, Anne Wood, the show creator, said she had to make her case to the planning authorities that she would have to spend £150,000 for digging a hole and another £150,000 for filling it if ever they refused her. Though she claimed it would be a small-scale project, helicopters and photographers were soon flocking the set.
