In the ‘90s, Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling were both Mouseketeers on The Mickey Mouse Club. This was the beginning of their friendship. At the time, they were even close enough for Timberlake’s mom to become the legal guardian of Gosling after his own mom left to work in Canada. The two men have since drifted apart, however. “I see him around but it’s like anything where you’re friends with somebody in elementary school or something,” Gosling said in an interview back in 2013. He went on, “How many friends do you still have from elementary school?”

In the early ‘80s, Madonna and Debi Mazar met in a nightclub elevator in New York City. At the time, the former was a struggling former and the other a makeup artist. “We are old best friends in the sense that we’ve been very close for a very, very long time — like 30 years, before she even cut a record,” Mazar shared when she spoke to HuffPost Live in 2015. She added, “I met her when she came to New York and we became dear friends, and then she was like, ‘I’m gonna do a video,’ and I was like, ‘I do makeup. I’ll do your makeup. Cool!’ And it was very much like that, and then she became a huge star.”
