Rachel Maddow purchased the pre-civil war farmhouse back in 2013 for just $605,000. The 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom colonial-style cabin was built in 1869 and stood on an 11.86-acre lot. It had a fireplace and an attached garage, but Rachel got the aid of architect Nicole Migeon. It was to build a new bathhouse at the back of the property to bring in a hot tub and a second bathroom. They could have the room attached to the house, but Maddow decided she didn’t want to alter the original house arrangement.

Diana Ross lived in an enclosed home tucked away in a private community a few minutes away from downtown Greenwich in Connecticut. There were terraces in the 12,562 square-foot mansion that lead to large lawns in each room. The living room had an 18th-century paneling and a spiral staircase where Rembrandts adorned the walls. The gardens were equipped with a tennis court, a spa, and two carriage houses.
