Paul Simon
Paul Simon is frequently hailed as history’s greatest poet. Over the course of his over six-decade music career, many of those years were spent working on recordings for Simin and Garfunkel, a partnership that was established in 1956. Almost all of the songs were written by Simon. Despite the pair’s breakup, Simon started a highly lucrative solo career. His solo and group albums have each received 16 Grammy Awards.
Johnny Marr
English musician and singer-songwriter Johnny Marr first achieved global recognition as the guitarist and co-songwriter of The Smiths’, a band active between 1982-1987. Marr used to use his right hand to try to imitate guitar riffs using paint and strings as well. Marr has been playing in various other bands since the band disbanded and has also started a solo career.
