Steve Vai
In the year 1960, Steve Vai was born in Carls Place, New York. At the age of 18, he began his musical career by copying a difficult Frank Zappa song on notebook paper and submitting it to the artist. Zappa mailed a plane to Vai after reading the page, and Vai flew a few to Los Angeles and joined the band. Vai is another virtuoso who has been labeled as an outspoken performer.
