Feeling disappointed
Lena wasn’t persuaded, but she didn’t want to press the issue any further. She thanked him for his time and returned to her seat, frustrated that she hadn’t made any progress in unraveling the riddle.
Stacy stared at Lena, and Lena could tell she was perplexed by what had occurred.
