Not only does Lauren Green have a degree from the University of Minnesota, but she also has one from the University of Northwestern. She made history as the first black woman to become Miss Minnesota in 1984. She is the chief religion correspondent of Fox News, as well as a headline anchor on Fox & Friends. On Red Eye, she is a regular guest panelist as well. Aside from all of that, she is a trained classical pianist. She even released an album called “Classic Beauty” back in 2004.

This Harvard graduate launched her career in journalism as a newspaper reporter in South Africa. During her time in Johannesburg, she covered a lot of major events like the release of Nelson Mandela and the Apartheid transition. Before she started working at Fox, she covered various events in the Middle East for both the NPR and AP. She went on a brief hiatus after she learned that she had triple-negative breast cancer.
