Before Alisyn Camerota joined NBC, she spent a good amount of time with Fox. She covered a lot of big stories both locally and internationally over the years. Thanks to her hard work, she has been nominated for reporting Emmy awards twice. Among other things, she has covered the Paris terrorist attacks, the Parkland school shooting, and Hurricane Harvey. She was on Fox & Friends for a while as a co-host of its weekend edition. In 2017, she published a book called “Amanda Wakes Up.” It is a novel about a reporter trying to do the right thing while covering the presidential race for a cable network.

This Northwestern University alum launched her career in broadcasting as a general reporter of a local NYC Fox affiliate called WNBC-TV. She has also worked in Maine, St. Louis, and Portland in the past. You might have seen her host Happening Now on Fox with Jon Scott. The program was on the air at midday on weekdays. She shared that she was going to retire from television so that she could spend more time with her family in 2010. She is married to Roger Goodell and has a million bucks to her name.
