Sniffing Around
While humans have 5 million olfactory receptors, dogs have a whopping 220 million. Dogs can smell at least a thousand times better than we humans can. When they’re sniffing around, they’re either sensing some kind of danger or tracking prey. They’ll stay very still and silent while doing this. In fact, they can smell the difference between individual dogs or people. They can even tell identical twins apart!
Flipping Up Tongues
When dogs think they did something wrong, they sometimes stick out their tongue and flip it up in order to apologize. They tend to feel guilty and apologetic. It could also be their own way of putting on an innocent face.
