Around the time Coyote Ugly was released, most people knew Johnny Knoxville from MTV. The multi-talented comedian, actor, stuntman, and filmmaker took part in ridiculous stunts together with his best friends and became popular as an overall prankster that doesn’t say “no.” Therefore, when the casting team of Coyote Ugly offered Knoxville the role of a bratty college co-ed, Knoxville didn’t say “no.” He is credited as “College Guy” in the movie, just something extra for the teens.

After his short scene in Coyote Ugly, Johnny Knoxville continued to pursue acting. In 2002, he appeared in the hit movie Men in Black II, starring big stars Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith. Most recently, Knoxville played the character C.J. on the popular Netflix sitcom Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. In addition to appearing onscreen, Knoxville has taken to producing films as well. He is one of the producers of the wildly popular film Bad Grandpa in 2013. The movie’s success led to a long-standing relationship between Knoxville and Paramount Pictures.
