Clueless (1995)

Some people simply can’t stand how Cher and her pals talk, but that is part of its appeal. Wasn’t it fun to see the antics that they got up to? When it comes to high school comedies, this is definitely among the best ones. After all, Clueless actually showed American high school kids as they are, which is to say insecure and absorbed in their own world. It goes without saying that the characters in the movie dress better than your typical teens and speak a language of their own. Remember “fetch” or “jeepin’”? The movie also shot Alicia Silverstone to stardom and introduced Paul Rudd, who made his debut in it.

Planes, Trains And Automobiles (1987)

This is a hilarious and heartwarming flick that features two amazing comedic talents: Steve Martin and John Candy. It was also directed, produced, and written by the late John Hughes. The film puts a unique twist on the ‘Odd Couple’ troupe. It is full of memorable lines and moments, none of which have lost their charm. “Those aren’t pillows” is just one of the gags that aged well. It is satisfying to see that the misadventures of Del and Neal have survived the test of time! You can rewatch it and see for yourself.
