Eiffel Tower 1888
Construction of the Eiffel Tower’s wrought-iron latticework originally began in 1887 in preparation for the 1889 World’s Fair. Lloyd took this photo through the colorization process over a century later. It was perhaps one of the simpler edits on our list, as it could compare to the tower’s modern colors and a number of other photos from decades past.
