Origins
The Amish families moved to the United States in 1963 after fleeing religious repression in their homelands in Europe. Pennsylvania was well-known as a refuge for religious rights before the Revolution, so they used this location as a haven for those who wanted to pursue their faith elsewhere.
Sleeping Together Before Marriage
Unlike most religious cultures, the Amish allow spouses to sleep in the same bed before getting married. Participants, on the other side, must remain properly clothed and constrained when interacting in the bed. It is something they should think about before getting married to better their friendship.
