How To Make Use Of Your Study Breaks During Exam Season

College students know how terrible the exam period can be more than anyone. Sleepness nights, exhausting days, hours spent in the library feeling like you’ll never get to outside again. While we know this period can be excruciating, it won’t last forever, Even though it feels as it will, it won’t. Even though this time eventually comes to an end but that doesn’t mean we don’t feel miserable for an entire month. Our study breaks may just be equally important to our study time. Studies show that studying on end with no breaks, yields poor results. Thus, get up, get moving, and make sure to keep the energy flowing through your whole body if you want to get an A on that exam. Now, while we recommend taking breaks, that does not mean going and getting wasted in the middle of the day. Taking breaks can be effective if they are done the right way. Feeling lost? Don’t worry, we have some excellent suggestions for you!

Work Out

If you’ve spent the whole morning in the library how about you change things up and go for a run or do a quick strength workout. Whatever you choose, physical fitness at some point during the day is extremely important for your physical and mental health. Exercise can help get your mind working and may help you remember the material even better. Not only that, but it is extremely important for your health. Don’t sit all day in that library chair and instead give yourself an hour for a nice and enjoyable workout, we promise you won’t regret this.

Getting Sun

A bit of vitamin D during the day can change your entire perspective and mood. Going out and getting some sun is the exact break you’ll need from those confined library walls. Not only is it good for your skin and health but it will make you feel overall better. Nobody wants to sit inside all day, so go out and breathe in that fresh air. We can assure you that your study material will be waiting for you when you return.

Sleep

Not only is a good sleep crucial for getting the results you want to succeed, but a nap during the day is equally important. This does not mean go and take a 4-hour nap during the day but instead set aside 30 minutes for a power nap. This will allow your brain to rest and give it the fuel it needs to continue studying. This will make you feel rejuvenated and allow your mind to work at its maximum potential.
