When it comes to a fun night out, you don’t want to cut corners when doing your makeup. Doing so can lead to some unwanted fashion disasters we’re trying to avoid. To create the perfect ‘night out’ makeup look, we’ve created this list of essentials so you know exactly what you’ll need to do so.
Moisturizer
Every makeup look needs to start from a smooth base. Cleanse your face and apply your favorite moisturizer before starting. Believe us, this step is crucial and it makes all the difference.
Primer
If you’re planning on being out for a while, primer is a good idea. It helps the foundation stay in place for longer periods of time.
Foundation
Of course, foundation is a must for an all-out look. It creates a flawless base that will make everything you want to pop.
Concealer
Concealer is a must for all kinds of blemishes you’d like to, well, conceal. Whether you have a few spots or you want to brighten your under eyes, concealer is the way to go.
Powder
To set your whole face and keep the products from creasing, it’s good to use some kind of translucent powder and dust it lightly all over.
Bronzer/Contour
This step isn’t a must, but it does make a big difference in the whole look. You can contour your cheekbones with some bronzer you have – start lightly and layer on the color slowly to avoid any mishaps.
Blush
This is pretty self-explanatory, but we had to include it, of course.
Eyeshadow
This is where you can let your creativity shine through! Play with colors, go wild! The possibilities truly are endless.
Eyeliner
Another optional step, depending on what look you’re going for, eyeliner can transform the whole thing in just minutes. However, as we said, it’s not a must.
Mascara
Mascara tends to pull everything together in the best way possible. It opens up your eyes and creates drama.
Highlighter
If you really want to pop, use a highlighter. Dust it on the high points of the face – the top of your cheekbones, the tip of your nose, and the brow bone. Doing so will make you glow!
Brows
Fill in or shape your brows with whatever products you normally use. Don’t be afraid to switch things up a little every now and then – maybe try more fluffy brows for a dramatic look? Or even a bolder brow – it’s up to you!
Lipstick/Gloss
Just before you’re done, go ahead and put on lipstick or gloss that complete the look. You’re almost there!
Setting Spray
Last, but surely not least, setting spray. This product is going to ensure your makeup won’t run throughout the night. In fact, it won’t move once you put this on! Spray some on your face lightly, wait for it do dry, and you’re good to go!
