Maria Quiban moved to Honolulu when she was young. She was born in the Philippines and moved at the age of nine. She studied journalism at the University of Hawaii. Her initial experience includes a job at KHNL, and this is an affiliate of NBC. Later on, she moved to Los Angeles and joined the Orange Newschannel in 1998. Her move to LA helped her land a job at KTTV in 2000. Quiban has been working on KTTV ever since. To further improve her career, she graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor in Science degree in Meteorology. Quiban did not only appear in the weather segment of the news, but she was also cast as a reporter in the following movies and series: Bruce Almighty, Cold Case, Everybody Hates Chris, Criminal Minds, and Ryan’s Mystery Playdate.
